Three Day Assault Pack Plus

Manufacturer: Tactical Tailor

The Three Day Assault Pack Plus is ideal when you may need more supplies than a regular Three Day Pack but don't want to be tied down by a full rucksack. Our Three Day Plus has all the same features as our original Three Day but the external webbing has been replaced by four additional zippered compartments. To help balance the extra weight, a more robust padded waist belt has been added as well. A pair of bottom compression straps for a sleeping pad or other larger item rounds out the improvements. Other features include a carry handle, thick padded shoulder straps with sternum strap and an internal hydration sleeve with ports for a drinking tube. Available in Coyote Brown, OD, Black, Multicam, Ranger Green or ACU.

Well built, but could use some improvements
John V (Albany, OR) 7/4/2010 11:36 PM
The thing is top quality construction, like everything from TT. A couple of improvments, the belt is just about worthless, not comfortable and just gets in the way. A full zip would be nice, or a even a 3/4 zip vs. teh current half zip. A hanger for a hydration pack would be a nice addition, as would a top access zipper for the hydration pack instead of having to open up the main pack and dig through everything to get out your camelback. The side pockets are nice, but are stitched on the sides, not the bottom, which my have some utility for large/long tools, but I'd prefer they were sewn on the bottom so they would be pseudo slot pockets for quick grab and go items. Because of the above mentioned observations I sold my pack after about a month of use.

Super pack. Taken it on 2 deployments to Iraq. Top quality like all of my TT gear. Plenty of space cut my need for my ruck in half. Recommend this pack and to anyone looking for something bigger than a 3 day pack but less than a full ruck.

Good bag. Cant go wrong with it.
John Anderson (Union Grove, NC) 6/10/2010 6:20 PM
I have had the standard 3day for 3 years and bought a plus pack two years ago. The plus is spacious and well laid out. I use it on my hiking trips. I spend a great deal of time in the woods and this bag is very durable and holds everything I want to carry.

Great Pack
Christopher Mix (Absecon, NJ) 3/22/2010 6:59 PM
This is a great pack so far, I have only had it for a few weeks but have worn it everyday. It is very spacious and can hold a ton of stuff. The blaze orange interior is a great idea and makes it easy for trying to find things in the bottom. I suppose you could also use it for an emergency signaling device as well. However don't worry about the orange showing through you CANNOT see it from the outside, even with the bag open, it is only in the bottom half of the main pouch. There are only three issues I have with the bag. The first is the excess straps. I wish there was velcro strap securing devices like Camel-bak has, or something comparable. I hate having straps flapping all over and that would be a perfect addition to this pack. The other issue is, there isn't much breathability or airflow for you your back, if any. Great for cold weather, not so much fun in the heat. Also the zipper pulls cling and clang too much for my taste, so I just cut them off with a pair of diagonal cutters and made new zipper pulls out of 550 cord. Overall it is a great pack, and feels nice when loaded up other than my back getting pretty hot fairly quickly. This is my new "heavy hitter" pack if you will, for when I need to carry "everything" It may be a bit much for a day trip, but then again you will always need the one thing you didn't bring, so having the extra room doesn't hurt.

I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and have been using this for the past 5 months. It has everything that I need to carry for the mission at hand. Whether it be a patrol or three day mission, this pack carries everything. I highly recommend it.
